I don't know what plysnig means, but it's my new favourite word.

Love that era of music by the way, all that wonderful ragtime, swing, dixieland, early pop ballads, blues, bluegrass, etc etc, anything from 1900 - 1945 basically. Here's one of my favourite singers from the 30s, Elsie Carlisle:

No surprise then that I have seen it and love it, as well as Vixen!, Supervixens, Ultra-vixen, Common Law Cabin, Finders Keepers etc. etc. Beyond The Valley of the Dolls is probably my favourite though just for finding that balance between Meyer's breast obsession and complete whacked out 60s psychedelic weirdness.

Pretty much, although most of the violence is off camera, and in many ways you could argue that it's a celebration of the pre-aids punk era "leatherman" gay scene in NY. Ultimately it's complete trash, but a) has a wonderful young Al Pacino playing completely against type, and b) has an excellent soundtrack.
