Me again. OK, you can smack me now, I deserve it, because I finally watched the Eurobot video on Vimeo, and even more of what Goodiepal's been getting at all this time makes sense. I'd put it off because I normally have very little time to just sit at home and watch things. If I can't listen to it at work, I may never take it in. But circumstances conspired to let me experience this big eye-opener, the kind I have every few years and last had in 2003 when I found V/Vm's website, and snapped out of the creative dry spell I'd been in for 10 years or so.

Goodiepal reveals himself as a one-man Fluxus Group

Exactly :) It's all in the great tradition of Dada and Fluxus, with a dash of Situationalism (with the political provocation), a certain sense of Discordianism (in terms of that balance between absurd humour and real point scoring), as well as having resonances with contemporary conceptual artists like one of my favourites - Cornelia Parker. And in the integration of an idiosyncratic philosophy into an artistic output, he reminds me of my art hero - Yves Klein. What's not to like?

OK, so I've finally got around to taking this in… better late than never, right?

In some stories nothing makes sense until toward the end, when everything falls into place in a giant "Aha Moment." This 'walkthrough' is such a moment, in which Goodiepal reveals himself as a one-man Fluxus Group for the Internet age. This could have seismic implications for the future of music and art if enough people took it to heart; well, I'll do my best.

hi everybody.
lazy "forumer" that i am, i still finally manage to write an "allow me to introduce" myself post.
a few of you i met in dublin (and a first post of mine can be found in one of those posts…), and
having had such a great time i really wanna stay in touch and not loose contact. so i decided to come over here…
also hope to meet a few new people…
well..
name's oliver aka tomoroh hidari, and i've been doing music for quite a couple of years now (under that alias… actually, i've been doing music all my life, it feels)
i have been involved with digital vomit twice so far, the one time playing at the dv show in dublin, and before that with a track on the cthulhu dildonomicon compilation, which was co-released by dv. i've been reading a few of the project calls here in the forum, and you can expect future contributions from my side…

i've released a few tracks on samplers before releasing my debut cd "the necrophonicon" on isolate records in 2004.
then more sampler tracks as well as a few net-releases: "todtnauberg ep" - on indiestore, and "13 objects, or a dadaist, a surrealist and a group of random bystanders marvel at the ferocious whateverism of the 'pataphysician" - a music-concrete album, with all sounds created from 13 household objects.

and out now are 3 releases at a time, all at http://www.recordlabelrecords.org
Also Spoke Zerothruster - my first own 12" release
dubnihilism - a 2000 demo as a free* webrelease
alien audio absurdities - a 2001 demo, also a free* webrelease

(*free for two months, then for $6.)

well, that's basically all i can think of that's relevant for a first introduction… just fill in the blanks;)

hurray,
öliver

ps: ah yeah, i forgöt: i got a website at http://tomoroh.com and a myspace.com/tomorohhidari page.

The Wire adverts consist of a series of reference letters from universities and event organisers stating that he has lectured at them, with a line at the bottom of each page cryptically describing his war on DIEM, and a link to the walkthrough MP3. Unis include the Danish Royal Academy of Music (obviously), Princeton, Calarts, Oslo National Academy of Fine Arts, Norden, Brown and University of Iowa City.

Honestly, I was talking about this months ago. Did any of you listen? Did you f**k.

I got the following message on facebook today, make of it what you will… By the way, 350,000 dkk is almost £40,000 if my conversion is correct….

GOODIEPAL HAVE SPENT 350'000,- dkkr TO PROMOTE RADICAL COMPUTER MUSIC – and now he is broke…

Radical Computer Music is completed – 350’000,- dkkr. SPENT (now I am broke).

THE FINAL BLOW…

Dear friends, it is time to end this war declared by me on the Royal Academy of Music… I will now deliver the final devastating blow

I have spent 350’000,- dkkr. (which is much more than I have) on buying banner commercials from music related websites all over the world, all leading right into this Facebook forum called Radical Computer Music…

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=32383722932

ABSOLUTELY FOR REAL

This is my way of showing you that I MEAN everything I have been saying since 2001 about computers, artificial and all sorts of alternative intelligences.

And I now handle over my profile to you. This means that you, my fellow musically interested friend, will become the master of the FORUM and can post everything you would fancy…

log-in info:

Email: [REMOVED BY iivix]
Password: [REMOVED BY iivix - ask me if you want the details and I'll send 'em in private]

This is my musical gesture to all you media people and computer musicians out there, everybody who posts something on the forum will have a promotion budget of 350’000,- dkkr., which means a whole lot of hits… - do you get it?

WHAT DOES THE GÆOUDJI GET IN RETURN?

My humble wish is that in return you help me promote one link, which is my manual for Radical Computer Music, please respect this link:

http://i3hypermedia.com/audio/Alku69_MAVEE_Walkthrough.mp3

And, that you try not to change the log-in for the Facebook profile (if you do so the party is over).

NOW I AM BANKRUPT

With this giant move, I am officially bankrupt and will have to sell more or less everything I own here in December…

WHY?

You NOW ask me why I throw such a gesture? Well, right now it is my sole mission to spread the word about Radical Computer Music and I want to show you all that, although it sounds like a joke, I MEAN everything I say about computers and computer music for the future. BUT enough said with words, instead you can go to the link and listen …

Links placed so far:

4 x FULL PAGES in the December issue of THE WIRE
Banner: http://www.soundvenue.com/
Banner: http://www.smallfish.co.uk

The rest is secrets until you see them, I can for good reason not tell them all before they are up.

HAPPY HACKING…

School books (filed as “GOODIEBOOK”) can be ordered from:

http://www.smallfish.co.uk/shop/search.php?search=goodiepal

— // — ACTION — ACTION — ACTION — ACTION — ACTION — ACTION — // —

The Blue house is now closed.

Gæoudjiparl
