Does anyone know where you can get blank 8-track tapes in bulk? Preferably in the UK? Ta.

What sort of mischief are you up to now? :D
You may laugh, but somebody, somewhere - incredible as it may seem - is still making 8-Track tapes, as Cheap Trick's new album has just been issued on that format. Presumably for the twenty guys in mid-west America who still have them in their trucks, I guess.
Personally, I think reel-to-reel tapes and those punch cards for player pianos are where it's at these days…
yeah, we should do a digivomit player piano punchcard compilation…:)
all those "retro" technologies start to get a charm of their own allready, i think.
Personally, I'd love to record onto some wire
The wire reels were recorded or listened at nominally 24 inches per second (610 mm/s), making a typical one-hour reel 7,200 feet (approx. 2195 m) long.
Yes, if you recorded an album on wire it would be over 2km long.
wow, those wire recorders look really interesting. wanna have!
Ooh, lost Tom Lehrer recordings. God bless him.

I have two ideas, neither particularly plausible unless I have a bulk batch of tapes that are the same length. And that's the difficult bit, finding tapes the same length - I've found odd ones around on eBay lasting 40, 45, 60 and 90 minutes. I wouldn't mind buying odd ones here and there, but I'd have to pay P+P on all of them, individually.
