…also…can you recommend some new vsts or simple software to use? i think half of my creative doldrums have been due in part to being very tired of ableton live. it works too well…i need some shitty, glitchy software that isn't so damned "professional" sounding.

If in doubt, hit things… That's my advice for when you're lacking inspiration - I've collected a load of random instruments/toys to play with when I want to make some music but feel stuck (e.g. triangle, thumb piano, xylophone, stylophone, that kind of thing…)
