That was awesome. Does in 3:49 what it took Koyaanisqatsi an hour and something to do.
Unfortunately the framerate's not too good on that clip, so it's not entirely representative of the sheer amount of work that went in to editing that - in the climactic bit (with the soundwaves) we were literally cutting 25 seperate frames together into one second of video. I'm still amazed we got it done in two days.
2 days! wow. really cool mate. the water shots are eerily similar to the ones in that japanese clip of keith hik's track he posted here a short while back.
i'll echo that. That must of have been in intense 2 days. it too me 2 weeks to edit the 'nice feeling inside' video, and tey weren't even timed with the music. I'm thinking you prob had better tools than I had (I had to put the sound on after the visuauls were done.)
Yeah, I was using Avid Xpress. I think I was really spoiled at college though - I've yet to come across anywhere else using that software. FYI, it was two days editing, and I think three days filming. Which takes the edge off a little I suppose. I don't think I had lunch for two days, but that's about as intense as things got. For the most part it was great fun (I say most part, because we were officially a team of three, except the other guy did precisely nothing through the project. Coincidentally, he used to be (is?) friends with The Fez).
I really wish I had a camera and some decent editing software at home, because I'm sure I'd be doing stuff like that all the time if I did. But I don't. Oh well.
I enjoyed that, very well done.
