I haven't been involved with DV for as long as many of you, but I really enjoyed taking part in the projects here and have heard some awesome stuff. That being the case, I would really like to keep doing compilations with some input from the DV crew in the future. I have been organizing noise compilations and splits for a little while now under the monkier "N.O.I.S.E." (Network Of Individualized Sonic Extremism) which I organize through reddit and store on bandcamp. If you are interested in taking part in noise comps in the future please keep an eye on r/noisecomps (if you are a reddit user) and speak up when new projects roll around (there are even a few in the works right now). I know things have been slow around here and that the setting for making underground music is much different now than it was 10 years ago. But, even though we don't strictly need a site/forum like DV to organize projects (with the popularity of stuff like Twitter, Bandcamp, etc.), I don't see why we should let go of our collective efforts totally. I have been thoroughly surprised with the feedback and participation that I've gotten with N.O.I.S.E. so far and it would be awesome to extend that sphere of artists to include people from DV that I already know make killer music. If this is something that interests you, please let yourself be heard over on reddit so we can keep the ball rolling.
As a side note, I can't wait to hear what these last 2 compilations will sound like. A final set for the old Vomiteers…. should be solid. Needless to say, I plan on sending in some tracks for them.
